A son of a great Prophet
Prophet Ismail(PBUH)
- And now Ibrahim AS is in a great test. He is in a very very tough position
- Slaughter your son! Slaughter your son!
- Maybe we think about it.. It's easy. But think about it happening to you, you'll realize it's very hard
- Slaughter your own son. Could you imagine when you slaughter your own son?
- But what was the response of Ibrahim AS
- He had no other option except saying: O Allah! We have heard and we obey, regardless to what you order me
- If it's to slaughter my son, then your order must be implemented
- And he related the dream to his son the following day. He took his son aside and he tells his son
- ALLAHU AKBAR! Allah SWT makes mention of this in the Qur'an
- When his son was old enough and he used to walk with him and he used to travel with him and come back with him and so on
- He told his son, he says: Oh mu son, I have been instructed in a dream by Allah SWT to sacrifice you. So what do you think I should do?
- O my father! Do as Allah has commanded you. Do as Allah has commanded you
- You will find me from amongst those who are patient
- Immediately he surrendered. It did not take him a split second to think
- Subhan'Allah this is a Prophet, this is someone who fears Allah
- This is someone whose life is for Allah, who lives for Allah, he'll die for Allah SWT
- O Father! Do what Allah had ordered you, if Allah had ordered you to slaughter me, then do so
- Insha'Allah by the Will of Allah, you will find me from those who have patience
- This is a true heart of someone who loves Allah SWT and obeys him
- And Ibrahim will take his son, he goes and looks for a good place to slaughter his son. Away from his mother
- At that moment, Ibliss would come trying to turn Ibrahim away from what he saw
- And he came up to Ibrahim and he told him: O Ibrahim! You gonna go and slaughter your son?
- You just saw a dream, maybe it was just a dream. A foolish dream
- So Ibrahim grabs stones and threw them at him, stoned him
- Then he went to Isma'il, tried to turn Isma'il away from following his father and Isma'il also starts to cast him with rocks and stones
- And then he came to both of them. And they both start to cast him with rocks and stones
- And that's why when you go to Hajj you throw those three different throws
- Reminding yourself that when you attempt to do something for Allah be firm and strong
- And then they come to a big rock, suitable to lay Isma'il on it and to slaughter him
- And Subhan'Allah Ya Ikhwaani. Look what Isma'il tells his father at that time
- He tells him: O father! Make my face towards the ground, so when you look at me
- Make my face towards the ground, so in case if you look at my face and you see my face while you're slaughtering
- You might get some sympathy, you'll walk away from Allah's order
- So turn my face around. And sharpen your knife, so you could slaughter me quickly and you continue the order of Allah SWT
- And Ibrahim turned Isma'il on his forehead towards the ground
- Allah says: The two of them surrendered to the instruction
- Ibrahim AS grabs his son, his face is towards the ground, the knife is sharpened in his hand
- He puts it on the neck of Isma'il AS and he tries to slaughter, andc everytime he tries to slaughter the knife will spin the other side
- And again he tries to slaughter, the knife will spin the other side
- Because the knife will cut only by the Will of Allah. As the fire will only burn by the Will of Allah SWT
- Firstly Allah says...
- We called to him: "O Ibrahim, you have fulfilled the vision" [Surat As-Saffat 37:104-105]
- ALLAHU AKBAR! We replaced him, with a ram from paradise
- And Ibrahim AS slaughtered and sacrificed that ram from paradise
- And he looked he had seen this is a ram
- And Allah SWT called out: O Ibrahim! You are indeed truthful to us. We have tested you and you have passed the test
- Now you can ask what you want, it's all yours. ALLAHU AKBAR! ALLAHU AKBAR! This was the ultimate test
- And the passing of the test was not only for the father but even for the child
- Now there are people of the previous scriptures who say that the sacrifice was Ishaaq or Isaac and it was not Isma'il
- Ishaaq was not even born at that time. He was not even there
- And this happened in Makkathul Mukkarrama
- So there is no point to dispute that. Historically, it is proven through history that Ishaaq AS was not there
- Because after that Allah says in the Quran...
- Once Allah called out to him and told him that we have replaced this with a sacrificial ram from Jannah
- Then Allah says: And we gave him good news of another child known as Ishaaq who will come to him
- So this was another child
- Indeed, this is a very very clear manifest test of Allah SWT
- And the days went passed, and then another order comes from Allah SWT
- To build a house as a symbol of the Oneness of Allah Almighty
