The Friday Prayer

Friday is the best day of the week. Allaah made it obligatory to pray the Friday prayer during this day. As a result Muslims in all countries gather in the main Masjid of their town to pray this prayer. The Friday prayer is a personal obligation upon the residing, pubesecent and unexcused males. Among what is considered an Islamic excuse is for the person to be sick in a way in which going to the Mosque will be a serious hardship on him. It is an obligation to pray the Friday prayer in congregation if the pubescent, sane, males are 40 in number and living in buildings not intense. The Friday prayer is also obligatory upon the men who intend to stay in the town of Jumm'uah for four whole days excluding the day of entry and the day of exit. The Friday prayer is two Ra'kahs instead of the Dhuhr prayer. It is performed in congregation and preceeded by two speeches that the Imam gives. The Friday prayer has other conditions that must be satisfied in order for it to be valid, similarly the two speeches has integrals and conditions. Regarding the prayer itself it is a condition for Dhuhr prayer time to have set in. The two speeches must also be heard by the 40 male inhabitants, the prayer has to be performed in congregation with the 40 male inhabitants too. No other Jumm'uah prayer must be performed simultaneously in the same town. The opening Takbeer preceeded of that of another, the former's prayer would be valid and the latter's prayer would be invalid. However, if it was hard for others to meet in one place than in as many places as needed then the prayers both earlier and latter would be valid.
