"HAPPY VOICES"

     “Daddy!” Shay screamed out.

“I warned you, didn’t I? Your evil ways have come to an end!” Said Abdul.

“I’m sorry daddy!” Shay yelped out.

Abdul took a step towards Shay. “Don’t be sorry chii be careful!”

“Yes daddy. You’re right.” Shay said.

“Do you promise to be more weary of your speech and actions?” Abdul asked.

Shay nodded her head. “I promise.”

“I’m still going to have to strongly reprimand you.” Abdul said with a stern voice.

“What are you going to do to me?” Shay asked fearfully.

Abdul quickly unbuckled his belt, then he let down his pants and trousers. Abdul’s shaft stuck out like a sore thumb. Veins were all over it, and it was throbbing.

Shay half gasped as she starred at the monster. Abdul took two more steps towards his wife.

“You know I love you very much Shekyra.” Abdul said as he grabbed his shaft with the palm of his right hand. Then he lifted up his left hand to grab Shekira’s cheek.

“Let me in you bitch!” Said Abdul.

“Is it… gonna hurt?” Shay asked.

     “Yes.” Abdul plainly said.

There was a short pause. Then a thin smile manifested on Shay’s face, she then slowly opened her legs.

“Take me daddy…” Shay calmly said.

The next morning both Abdul and Shay woke up on the bed together at the same time. Shay had her head laid on Abdul’s chest.

“Wha-t ha-pp-enened?” Shay asked as she slowly fluttered her eyes open.

            “Huh?” Abdul asked for clarification.

“What happened last night” Shay repeated.

Abdul said nothing for a while, a look of confusion appeared on his face.

“You was wild shorty.” Abdul said.

“Why don’t I remember any of the details?”

Abdul shrugged his shoulders.

“I vividly remember, for we wasn’t drunk or anything like that. I simply just supplicated to my Lord and asked Him to make you forget.” Abdul said.

“Why would you do that?” Shay asked.

Abdul paused for a second and didn’t say anything.

“Shekyra, last night you were weak. I… don’t want you to remember how weak I had you. That could put some turmoil in our relationship.”

“Or it could strengthen it.” Shay said.

Abdul shrugged. “That’s a possibility. Allah Knows best.”

“It’s better to be safe than sorry.” He added.

Shay half snickered. “So what now?”

Abdul rose up from the bed and started putting his shirt and pants on.

“Now I cook you some breakfast. What’s your preference?” Abdul asked.

“What are the selections?” Shay asked.

     “Corn Flakes or Frosted Flakes!”

Shay laughed out loud. “Omg are you serious?”

Abdul nodded his head.

“Did you pray your Fajr this morning?” Shay asked.

“Although I’m not obligated to. I still fulfilled.” Abdul said.

Shay looked quizzically at Abdul.

     “Why aren’t you obligated to?”

Abdul shrugged his shoulders. “My Lord has been merciful to me.”

“What does that mean?” Shay asked.

“You haven’t made your decision yet.” Abdul said.

Shay looked at him and thought for a second. “It’s okay, I think Granny is going to cook up something.”

“She was not down there this morning when I went for Suhoor.”

     “What’s Suhoor?” Shay asked.

“The pre-dawn meal before Fajr.” Abdul said.

     “You mean breakfast?” Shay retorted.

“No! Suhoor is different from breakfast.”

     “How so?” Shay asked.

“Suhoor is a blessed meal that is done solely for the purpose of offering Fajr. Whereas, breakfast is Dunya related.” Abdul continued.

“Does that negate the importance of breakfast?” Shay asked.

“No, of course not. Everybody knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” Said Abdul.

Shay said nothing as she looked at Abdul.

Shay was right, Tabitha was already downstairs preparing something on the stove.

     "Good morning mother." Abdul said.

Tabitha turned her head to look at him.

"Oh good morning sweetheart. How did you sleep?"

"Well. Did you just come down?" Abdul asked.

"Yes, I'm usually up early to prepare breakfast for Shekyra. I thought I heard you down here early this morning. What were you doing?" Tabitha said.

"Mother you know I have to do the early morning prayer or Fajr every morning, though I am not obligated to." Abdul said.

Tabitha looked at him quizzically for a few seconds.

"Why aren't you obligated to?" Tabitha asked.

Abdul thought for a second. "My Lord has been merciful to me."

"Huh?? But what..." Tabitha began to say.

"Watcha cooking? That jawn smells good!" Abdul cut in.

"Uh... umm... it's just some oatmeal."

"Yeah... I LOVE OATMEAL!" Abdul said with enthusiasm.

Shay came down the stairs, her hair was wet.

     "Hey, we going to school?"

"Of course! Right after we consume breakfast, the most important meal of the day." Abdul said.
