Shay rolled her eyes. "Well I guess I'm not gonna earn my stripes because I'm never doing that again. Stupid boy!"

"You say that now, all I gotta do is pop that molly in your drink." Abdul said.

"I don't even drink!" Shay replied.

     "I don't either." Abdul said.

     "You used to?" Asked Shay.

"Yes. But I have forsaken all my bad habits for the sake of Allah." Abdul said.

There was a long pause as Shay stared at Abdul.

"Do you wanna have a family?" Shay asked.

"Ahh DUHH BTCH! That's the whole point of being married." Abdul said.

"Some people get married and they don't wanna have kids." Said Shay.

     "Well I'm not them!"

"How many kids you wanna have?" Asked Shay.

     "Four girls." Abdul said plainly.

     "And you?" He added.

"I want two boys!" Shay said excitingly.

"Well you're gonna get four girls. And if you shit out boys, instead of girls I will commit infanticide!" Said Abdul.

     "You're gonna kill the babies?"

     "Precisely."

There was a long pause. Both parties were silent.

"I will slaughter you first. Then the babies will come next." Said Abdul.

"You're gonna kill me?" Shay asked.

     "Precisely!"

"Why would you kill me?" She asked.

     "Because... You're not my type!"

     "What's your type?" Asked Shay.

Abdul ignored her question. "How do you feel about polygamy?"

     "What you mean?" Shay asked.

"Me having multiple wives." Abdul said.

"I'm not saying that I ever will... But I'm just saying..." He added.

Shay said nothing. There was a long silence.

"Because you're enough! I will never need to get another wife because you already got it all shorty." Abdul said.

Shay closed her eyes. "Mhmm..."

"And foreal foreal... I'ma keep it a bean with you shorty. These btches can't compare to you. Ya heard me?" Abdul said.

Shay said nothing. She closed her eyes as her head was laid on top of Abdul's chest.

"And foreal foreal. I'ma keep it a bean with you shorty. It's your eyes! Every time you look at me I feel like a kid at a candy factory. I wanna eat you up like a Hershey's chocolate bar and smear my cream cheese all over your loaf of bread. Ya heard me?"

Shay laughed out loud. "I thought you was vegetarian?"

     "Huh?"

"I don't care shorty! Ya heard me? I'm willing to go against my moral beliefs to please you. Because I love you. Ya heard me?" Abdul said.

Shay opened her eyes and gazed up at Abdul. "Why do you love me?"

"It's your personality foreal. It's easy for me to get jiggy with that shyt. I loved you from the moment I first laid eyes on you ya heard?" Abdul said.

"What was I wearing when you first laid eyes on me?" Shay asked.

     "Huh?"

"I wasn't looking at the way you was dressed shorty cause' all I could see was your eyes. Them jawns was captivating." Abdul said.

"I swear to God! Every time I look at them jawns, it feels as if I'm in Paradise. And that's on gang!" Said Abdul.

     "Mhmm..." Shay smiled and said.

"I swear to God! Ya hear me? You light up my world like the moon on a cloudless sky. Ya heard?" Abdul said.

     "Mhmm..."

"I swear to God! And I'm not even gon cap! But you're my rock." Abdul said.

Shay laughed out loud.

"You light up my world like the fourth of July. Them nggas ran up on me but I was caught by surprise. Yo, you wanna hear my new rap?" Abdul said.

"Yeah lemme hear it! Are you gonna make a song about me?" Shay asked excitingly.

     "FAACKK NO!" Abdul said.

     "WHYY?"

"Btch, cuz you're not my girlfriend!" Abdul said.

Shay frowned. "Ugh!"

"You wanna hear my rap or not? It pertains to you." Said Abdul.

     "Lemme hear it." Shay said.

"Okay I said... 'Shay Shay, you cray cray, I'ma eat your pussy like it's mayday.'"

There was a pause. "That don't make sense Abdul. You should say 'Chick-fil-A'"

"Btch, don't tell me what to do!" Abdul said.

"I was making a suggestion Abdul!" Shay said.

"Are you the one with the multi-million dollar record deal?" Asked Abdul.

"You don't have a multi million dollar record deal." Shay replied.

     "Not yet!"

     "Whatever." Shay said.

"Why don't you drink?" She asked.

"Because the consumption of alcohol is forbidden in the Religion of Islam." Abdul replied.

     "But you smoke weed."

     "Yes." Abdul plainly said.

"Isn't that Haram also?" She asked.

"No, absolutely not. What is Haram is what is explicitly mentioned in the Qur'an or the Hadeeth of our Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam. Smoking cannabis or anything is not mentioned in any Qur'anic verses or any of the Hadeeth. But is it Makrooh? Absolutely!" Said Abdul.

     "What is Makrooh?" Asked Shay.

"Disliked. Not favored. But if you do it, you will not be committing sin or incurring the wrath of Allah upon you." Abdul said.

"Oh okay. What's the opposite of Makrooh?" Shay asked.

"Mustahaab. Highly recommended. If you do it than you will get rewarded by Allah Almighty. But if you leave it out then you will not be committing a sin." Abdul said.

"Do you do any of the Mustahaab?" Shay asked.

"Yes. I do a lot of the Sunnah acts of The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam."

     "Like what?" Shay asked.

"I sit down whenever I drink or eat. Whenever I enter a room I enter with my right foot, except for the bathroom. It is a filthy place and the Jinns are all over there." Abdul stated.

     "What are Jinns?"

"Creations of Allah. They are made from smokeless fire. 'Iblees" was the first Jinn." Abdul said.

     "Who is Iblees?" Asked Shay.

"The Accursed Shaytaan. He is known as 'Lucifer' in the Christian theology."

"The devil. I thought he was an Angel?" Said Shay.

"No sweetheart. May Allah increase your knowledge. The Angels cannot disobey Allah." Abdul said.

     "How did he disobey?"

"Iblees was envious and jealous of our father Adam Alayhi Sallam. When Allah commanded the Angels to prostrate before Adam the Angels did so, because they cannot disobey God. But Iblees refused to. For he was arrogant." Abdul said.

"What does it mean to be arrogant?" Asked Shay.

"Arrogance means to look down on somebody because of who or what they are. And arrogance means to also deny the truth."

     "Is arrogance Makrooh?" Asked Shay.

"No, arrogance is Haraam!" Abdul said.

"There's a difference between Makrooh and Haraam. It's not a sin if you do Makrooh. But if you do Haraam then it is a sin, May Allah protect us." Abdul said.

     "Okay." Shay added.

"Say AAMEN." Abdul said to Shay.

     "Why?"

"Btch, cause I just made Du'a. I said 'May Allah protect us'. So you say AAMEN!" Abdul said.

"Oh. AAAHMEN!" Shay smiled and said.

"What's your favorite color?" Abdul asked. Though he already had a hunch.

"Why do you wanna know my favorite color?" Shay asked.

"Cause I wanna know. I'm inquisitive. You're my wife, and you're the prettiest girl in the world. I wanna know everything about you. Ya heard me?" Abdul replied.

"Awww... You think I'm pretty?" Shay asked.

Abdul did not reply. Silence enveloped the room.

"I said what I said. I don't like when people question me. Tell me your favorite color or I'ma end your life. On God!" Abdul said.

Shay snickered. "I've always liked black. Ever since my parents died." Shay said.

Tabitha immediately came to Abdul's mind.

"I thought you would like pink or red." Abdul exclaimed.

Shay smiled. "I do. But they're not my favorite."

"How did your parents die? If you don't mind me asking."

Shay sighed. "Dave was a drunk. He was a heavy drinker, and he did other drugs as well. One day he came home drunk and high out his mind, he shot and killed my mother, then he killed himself." Said Shay.

Silence enveloped the room.

     "That's terrible." Said Abdul.

     "I know."

     "I'm sorry." Abdul said.

"Don't be. What about you. What's your favorite color?" Shay asked.

     "Black." Replied Abdul.

     "Why black?" Shay asked.

"I don't know. I guess I wanna be like you." Abdul said and laughed lightly.

"Why you wanna be like me?" Shay asked with a smile.

"Cause I'm in love with your personality shorty. Your whole physique. I like the way you be moving. You heard me? You take care of yourself." Abdul said.

     "Aww... Really?"

"Yeah. But I like black though because I'm always depressed n shyt." Abdul said.

     "Are you emo?" Shay asked.

"What does it mean to be emo?"

Shay pulled out her phone. "sensitive kids who follow emo music, dress in black, and have self-destructive tendencies."

"Oh. Well I do like to listen to rock music and Juice WRLD. And I don't really pick and choose how I dress, I just like to look good. And I definitely don't have self-destructive tendencies. Though I do think about death a lot." Abdul said.

"Why do you think about death?"

"Nothing in life is certain except death." Abdul replied.

"Is that why you always think about death?" Shay asked.

"I wanna go to Paradise. And the only way to go to Paradise is to die."

"Why do you want to go to Paradise?" Asked Shay.

"Cause I heard that jawn was popping!" Abdul exclaimed.

     "Have you ever seen it?"

"I see Paradise every time I look in your eyes shorty. Ya heard me?" Abdul said.

"Awww!!!" Shay said with gleamy eyes.

"You're so sweet! Why do you sometimes act so... Mean?"

Abdul thought for a minute. Silence enveloped the room.

"You ever heard that song 'Be Kind by Halsey?'"

     "Yeah! You listen to Halsey?"

"I love Halsey. Even though she's a hoe." Said Abdul.

"How's she a hoe?" Asked Shay.

"She sucked Big Sean's dck." Abdul said.

Shay laughed out loud. "What! No she didn't."

"Whatever. But the reason as to why I make reference to that song is because it has a message. The hook is like..." Abdul cleared his throat and began to sing.

"I don't know why you hide from the one and close your eyes to the one mess up and lie to the one that you love.
When you know you can cry to the one always confide in the one. You can't be kind to the one that you love.
" Abdul finished.

Shay had a wide smile on her face.

"So you feel what I'm saying shorty? You can't be kind to the one that you love. Does that make sense?" Abdul asked.

     "Yeah." Shay said.

"Can you sing 'Colors by Halsey?'" She asked.

Abdul ignored her request. "This is problematic because The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam was the best of the creations and he was the nicest person."

Shay nodded her head. "Yeah."

"But nowadays it seems like you have to be hard and strict just to get your point across. This is very prevalent within the Muslim community. It shouldn't be like this at all. I think about this sometimes and I just wanna cry." Abdul said as he buried his head in the pillow.

     "Aww don't cry." Shay said.

"Do you wanna hear my new rap?" Abdul said excitingly.

"Yeah! Can you sing Colors by Halsey please?" Shay asked.

     "FAACK NOO!"

     "WHYY??"

"Btch! Cause you're not my girlfriend." Said Abdul.

"Is your rap name 'DuLi''? Shay asked.

     "Yup!"

"Where do you get it from?" Asked Shay.

     "AlhamDuLillah" Abdul said.

"I've heard that before." Shay exclaimed.

"Yes. This is a very famous saying within the Muslim community. It is also found in the Hadeeth and many of the Qur'anic texts. Everything I do is for my Religion and for my Allah. Does that make sense?"

Shay nodded her head.

"Are you gonna take me to your country in Africa please?" Shay asked.

"Absolutely not! I wouldn't take you there if you was my worst enemy." Said Abdul.

     "Why?" Asked Shay.

"Because it's a very corrupt place and the people over there don't know how to behave." Said Abdul.

"But isn't your mom over there?" Shay asked.

"Yes. But I'm not very fond of her anymore. I told you, she cheated on my father and broke his heart. She started a whole family with her other husband over there." Abdul said.

"Why did she do that?" Shay asked.

Abdul shrugged his shoulders. "Allaah Knows best."

"Are you angry at her?" Shay asked.

     "Absolutely." Abdul replied.

     "Do you forgive her?"

"ABSOLUTELY! I love my mother. But... Does my father forgive her? I highly doubt it." Abdul said.

"They were married for over twenty years. Then she went and did what she did. No sensible person would forgive something like that." Abdul said.

Shay nodded her head. "That's true. But still... It's always good to forgive." She said.

"I agree. And I do forgive. But I'm still mad as hell. You can forgive, but never forget." Abdul said.

Silence enveloped the room.
