ABOUT
The Prophet asked the companions "do you know what gossiping is?"
The companions responded Allah and His Messenger knows best
The Prophet said "it is you mentioning your Muslim brother or sister whatever he does not like"
The Prophet said even if it is a true matter, it is still considered gossip
But if you mention an untrue matter than it is considered fabrication, which is also Haram
Two sins of the tongue are gossip and fabrication
Gossip is to talk about your Muslim brother or sister about things that may be true, but they do not like to be said about them
Fabrication is to mention untrue matters about your Muslim brother or sister
FABRICATION IS A BIGGER SIN THAN GOSSIP
A Muslim should not hurt another Muslim, in no way whatsoever
A Muslim should also have good manners
if a Muslim sees a defect in another Muslim he should not expose it to other people, rather he should advise him to correct it himself
Gossip and fabrication make Muslims angry with one another and may result in hatred amongst family members and friends
Reject and ignore the harmful words of others
Be quick to pardon, overlook and forgive
Whether you are successful or not, some people will still attempt to find something bad to say about you
A man once said, "When some people could not find a single flaw in gold, they said that its shine bothers the eyes."
