First Sermon
  • Today we will talk about the meaning of Islam
  • Allah ordered His slaves to believe in and follow Islam
  • Islam means the right path
  • We don't say that Allah is Muslim
  • He guides others, but He is not guided
  • Allah is the only One Who is clear of all weakness
  • He is not powerless
  • We are all in need of Allah
  • A man in white came in the session, he had on clean clothes so the companions knew that he was no traveler
  • These matters are known as the five pillars of Islam
  • It's an obligation when the time is right
  • It's not an obligation to go to Hajj until you want to go
  • The great scholar Abu Haneefa said that it means that no one has the power to create except for Allah
  • Creating means to bring it into existence from nonexistence
  • He is the only One Who created everything
  • He created tangible bodies and intangible bodies
  • He also created the deeds of the slaves, this includes the voluntary actions and the involuntary actions
  • All of our intentions are also created by Allah
  • If Allah Willed for us to do it than we will
  • Everything that he came with is true
  • Fajr prayer is the dawn prayer
  • The sun comes from the east and sets in the west
  • We go out and look for the shadows to determine the prayer times
  • When the shadow of this object reaches 11cm then Dhuhr is done and Asr is in
  • Asr is in until sunset
  • Maghrib stays in until the redness from the sky disappears



    • Second Sermon
  • A few days left for Ashura
  • This is the day that Allah saved Prophet Noah
  • It is also the days that Allah saved Musa and his followers from the tyrant Pharaoh
  • The tenth of Muharram
  • He ordered his companions to fast on that day
  • Prophet Noah was sent to a blasphemer tribe
  • He called them to Allah for 950 years
  • They did not believe him, they mocked him. They hit him to the point that he lost consciousness
  • ALlah is the Only Creator and He does not get bored ever
  • The flood befell them and all the blasphemers died
  • The Pharaoh claimed that he was God
  • He clung to his arrogant ways
  • The sons of Israel was 600,000
  • Pharaoh's army was 1,600,000
  • The sea split forming twelve pathways
  • As he was drowning and he was sure of his death he repented
  • Repentance is not accepted at that time
  • They sacrificed their lives
  • He remained steadfast to the truth
  • He was murdered, Hussein
  • Next Thursday is the tenth of Muharram



    • Jummah Class
  • We correct our intentions for the sake of Allah
  • The best of the deeds are those that are compulsory
  • This endowment, many people do not have it
  • Be consistent in this class
  • Today we will talk about the obligations of the heart
  • The first obligation is to have the proper belief in Allah
  • His Speech is not a language
  • And He does not resemble the creation in any way
  • The fundamentals of belief is to believe in Allah correctly and to believe in His Messengers
  • No good deed is accepted by Allah if he does not have the correct Creed
  • None of his good deeds will be accepted
  • Even if they built homes for the poor, if he does not have the correct belief in Allah than it is like he did nothing
  • Allah supported him with many miracles
  • The blasphemers they came to the house of the Prophet PBUH and they tried to kill him
  • He exited from the back
  • Allah made them unable to see
  • He passed by them and he met up with Abu Bakr
  • Ali was in the place of the Prophet SAWS
  • The Prophet SAWS did that because he knew that the blasphemers were not going to be able to reach Ali
  • Why did he leave our master Ali there?
  • Because he had some items for safekeeping and he wanted for him to return the items
  • Do you see the truthrfulness of the Prophet PBUH?
  • He exited with Abu Bakr and he entered the cave with his companion
  • Allah made their minds not fixated on that
  • There was a spider web at the entrance of the cave
  • They did not defend themselves with armor or weapon, they were protected by the spider web
  • When Allah protects someone the person does not know how Allah protects him
  • The Arabs they put out a bounty on Muhammad SAWS
  • "Whoever captures him will get 100 camels"
  • Abu Bakr was constantly looking but the Prophet PBUH did not glance once
  • He asked for safety and he was granted it
  • Later on, the bounty hunter embraced Islam
  • He did not enable them to trail behind the Prophet PBUH
  • It is not permissible to seek the praise of the people
  • If you do the good deed to get the praise of the people than you get no reward and you earn a major sin
  • Also among the obligations is to regret having done the sin
  • The regret has to be because he disobeyed Allah
  • Also among the obligations is for the person to be aware of not sinning
  • This is for the pious person
  • Among the obligations of the heart is for the person not to object to Allah
  • Some people when they get sick they object to Allah
  • "Why did You make this happen to me?" He is objecting
  • He is patient upon what Allah has inflicted him with
