First Sermon(Shaykh

Muhammad)

  • I praise Allah
  • In this verse Allah mentioned Awliya
  • Awliya is the plural for Waliyy
  • Being Awliya is not easy
  • He needs to make sure that he's applying what Allah ordered
  • Fasting the optional fasts
  • He does not lose this
  • He does not receive the torture in the grave or in the hereafter
  • The Karama is very similar to a Miracle
  • The one who is given Karama does not claim Prophethood
  • The Prophet claims Prophethood and he is given a miracle
  • Among the examples of Karama is Surah Al-Imran
  • Prophet Zacharia used to take care of Lady Maryam
  • Back in time it was not something ordinary
  • Allah gave this to Lady Maryam because she was a highly righteous Muslim
  • Allah gave Prophet Sullayman power over the jinns
  • "I can bring it to you in less than a blink of an eye"
  • One time Umar was giving the speech
  • "Why did you mention Sariah? He's not here"
  • "Sariah, pay attention to the mountains"
  • The pious people don't show off with this Karama
  • They don't publish, they hide it
  • They don't care about what people say or think
  • Their students witness it
  • He is a well known Awliya
  • He is known as being very pious
  • He does not look to himself as being high
  • People used to like him, he was very humble
  • She was bald, and she used to limp
  • She's a young girl
  • He put his blessed hands on her
  • She became normal
  • This is a Karama
  • He used to guide them to be on the correct path
  • He was teaching and his nafs were pushing him to get water
  • "Later, I'll give you water later"
  • From early in the morning, until Dhuhr time
  • He found a cup full of water mixed with dough
  • He wanted to drink
  • This is water
  • Back in time water was not available like it is today
  • He did not drink water for a year
  • He was in Iraq
  • Usually the Muslim they do Hajj and they go and visit the grave of the Prophet SAWS
  • He said lines of poetry
  • He asked the Prophet to give him his hands so that he can kiss it
  • He was a known man
  • They witnessed the hand of the Prophet SAWS coming out of the grave
  • The Prophet SAWS is alive in his grave
  • He studied the interpretation of Qur'an
  • The Prophet cared much for his family
  • When we say family we mean the believers
  • For him to have this is not impossible

  • Second Sermon

  • I praise Allah and thank Him, without Allah being obligated to give anything
  • I command you with Taqwa
  • In this Ayat Allah is telling us that those who were very close in this life will be enemies on the Day of Judgement
  • This so called "close buddy"
  • These close friends turn to enemies, except for the pious people
  • Because the friendship of the pious people is based on obedience of Allah
  • The pious people remain friends on the Day of Judgement
  • They also fulfill the obligations of people
  • Those pious people their relationships stay intact on the Day of Judgement
  • When they meet it's to obey Allah, when they disperse it's to obey Allah
  • They do not do that, they are honest and sincere to each other for the sake of Allah
  • They follow the instructions of the Prophet
  • If you love your brother then tell him
  • Not everyone is worthy of close friendship
  • A fool will harm you, even if he means to benefit you
  • Choose the friend who seems to be wise, to be intelligent
  • If they are not well-mannered then they will lead you astray
  • They must not be an innovator
  • You will be promoting his evil innovation
  • Not to be keen to have wordly things
  • His heart should not be attached to this world
  • Choose a friend with good qualities
  • They offer financial help
  • Could you please get my brother's sack of money
  • When he came back she told him
  • "If you are telling the truth I will set you free
  • As a token of his joy he set the female slave free
  • The friend is expected to offer a help
  • He knows he needs to do this
  • He on his own initiates the assistance
  • Give preference over the friend's need over your own
  • Give priority over your friend's need over your own
  • He will call him with the best names
  • The true friend listens to the speech
  • He does not argue with his friend
  • The true friend praises his friend, without lying and without exagerration
  • Defend your friend in his absence
  • Advise your friend gently
  • You can advise your friend indircetly if needed
  • You do it in a gentle way, you don't keep reminding him
  • That is not true friendship
  • So that you will be saved on the Day of Judgement
  • The Believer looks for excuses for his fellow Muslim
  • You do not ill-think of your friend
  • Maybe he was thinking of something else that's why he did not return the Salaam
  • The good friends makes excuses for his friend
  • If you are a good friend you'll initiate the Salaam
  • You get up and you escort him to the door
  • Steadfast in your love for your fellow Muslim until death
  • You keep supporting
  • You support his family
  • Being faithful to other people is among the quality of a true believer
  • I praise Allah and I thank Him
  • The human being is intrinsically inclined to imitating the close friends
  • The human being is affected and influenced by his close friend
  • "You will learn from his ludeness
  • I warn you against accompanying the evil friend
  • "I wish I did not take so and so as a close friend"
  • Let him accompany the pious person
  • This is the way you protect yourself
  • It's better for you not to accompany but a believer
  • The one who is best to accompany is the one when you see you are immediately reminded of Allah
  • His acts remind you of the hereafter
  • Mingle with the obedient
  • Do not accompany those who are not righteous
  • Be careful who you love

  • Jummah Class

  • Today we will speak about the sins of the abdomen
  • Among the sins of the abdomen is to consume through Riba
  • The most common form of usurious gain is interest
  • The most famous form of usurious gain is interest
  • It was commom amongst the ignorant Arabs
  • The Prophet PBUH damned this
  • The person who writes out the contract is damned
  • To be damned is for the person to be punished by Allah
  • If we know about a sin and we know that the person is damned if they do it than this is an enormous sin
  • Tax taken for buying and selling
  • To take somebody's wealth or posession by force or in a sneaky way
  • Anything that is acquired in a sinful way
  • Consuming alcohol is a sin of the abdomen
  • No Prophet ever drank alcohol
  • The prohibition of drinking alcohol was not revealed right away
  • It has harms and benefits but the harms are much worse
  • Don't get close to prayer in that state
  • The people that had alcohol poured it out in the streets
  • Drinking alcohol is an enormous sin
  • The one who drinks alcohol will be whipped 40 times
  • Many people take this matter lightly
  • Some people say it's haalal
  • In the Qur'an it's mentioned
  • Drinking alcohol is something filthy from the devil so avoid it
  • To consume anything that makes you intoxicated is haaram
  • Some drugs have the same effect as alcohol
  • The drug that gets you high is haaram too
  • Consuming the money of the orphan is haaram
  • The orphan is the one who's father died before pubescence
  • Allah warned us against falling into that
  • What's taken from a person out of shyness is also haaram
  • The blasphemer that does not engage in these things is in a less worse condition
  • There is no doubt about Allah's existence
  • Allah does not resemble any of His creation
  • He has no beginning
  • He knows everything
  • Everything happens by His Will
  • He has a Speech unlike our speech
  • We know these things like we know our names
  • For us to protect it is a great Jihad
  • The Prophet PBUH stayed a long time calling people to Islam
  • Some scholars said that it is permissible in some conditions, student loans
  • There will be a benefit that the Muslim receives
  • The person will be unable to do that
