Patient Prophet
- Idris was born at the time of Adam
- So Idris met Adam and Adam met Idris
- So Idris Alayhi Salam was born during Adam his lifetime
- And he lived 120 years of Adam's life, he was there...
- And then he lived during Sheath his life, and then after Sheath
- Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala chose Idris. Idris Alayhi Salam, a Prophet and a Messenger
- And as we mentioned there is a difference between a Prophet and a Messenger
- A Messenger is someone that is higher than a Prophet
- And the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam he said: Idris was a prophet
- And he is the first man to ever write with the pen
- So writing before Idris did not exist until Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala
- Taught Idris how to write and Idris Alayhi Salam is the one that taught people how to write
- Before Idris no one knew anything about writing
- Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala taught our Prophet Idris Alayhi Salam how to write
- And Abdullah Ibn Abbas he describes Idris Alayhi Salam...
- As a tall man, very big, has a very nice looking face, very thick beard
- And he used to be very quiet, hardly speaks, only if there is a need
- Contemplates a lot
- You think that he is frowning always because of too much contemplating
- Thinking about the greatness of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala no doubt
- And when Idris came after Sheath, he was of course the ruler
- A Prophet and a Messenger and their leader, and he ruled by Allah his law
- And he changed some of the Sharee'ah of Sheath Alayhi Salam
- And one of the things that Idris came up with, one of the first things...
- That ever came up with at that time was Jihad
- The first Prophet and Messenger to call for Jihad(fighting in the path of Allah) was Idris Alayhi Salam
- When he saw the corruption spreading, especially among the people of Qabil
- And that corruption is spreading even within the people of Idris
- So Idris Alayhi Salam declared war against the corruption
- Declared war against the corrupt people and he prepared an army
- Of horsemen and people walking, fighting against the people of Qabil. And the corruption of the people of Qabil
- And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala gave victory to Idris Alayhi Salam
- Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala says...
- " And mention Ishmael, Idris, and Dhul-Khifl;" SURAT AL-ANBYA (21:85)
- Three names together; Ismael, Idris and Dhul-Khifl, May Allah's peace be upon them
- " All were of the patient" SURAT AL-ANBYA (21:85)
- " And we admitted them into our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous" SURAT AL-ANBYA (21:86)
- All three of them were very patient, so this is another quality of Idris, he was very patient
- And Allah says: And we have granted them from our mercy
- We have made them enter into our mercy, we have put them within our mercy
- So that is another quality, Allah has had mercy on them
- And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala says: They were all pious people, good people
- Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala speaks about him(Idris) in Surat Maryam
- " And mention in the book, Idris" SURAT AL-MARYAM (19:56)
- And make mention in the book of the Prophet Idris
