Types of People
The Prophet(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that the people of this world are of four types
Person 1
The first is a person to whom Allaah(may He be exalted) gives wealth and knowledge, so he fears his Lord concerning it,
upholds ties of kinship with it and realizes that something is due to Allah for that. This man will attain the highest status.
Person 2
The second is a person to whom Allah(may He be exalted) gives knowledge but He does not give wealth, but
he is sincere in intention and says "If I had wealth I would have done what Person 1 did." He will be judged on his intention
and his reward will be the same as person 1.
Person 3
The third one is a person to whom Allah (may He be exalted) gives wealth but He does not give knowledge, so
he squanders his wealth without knowledge and does not fear Allaah concerning it or uphold ties of kinship with it, and
he does not realize that something is due to Allah for that. This person will have the lowest status.
Person 4
Than there is a man to whom Allah(may He be exalted) gave neither wealth nor knowledge, but he says if I had wealth I would do
what the third person did. He will be judged according to his intentions, and their burden of sin would be the same.
