Not to say that I'm scared of these people doing something to me.
But what's wrong with these people?
Remember, Ibrahim is a Prophet of God, and all the Prophets of Allah only feared their maker
Are these actually people? He sensed something amiss, something was wrong
So immediately he told them "hey you know what, I'm starting to get a doubt."
"Who are you here?"
"What's happening here?"
"Don't fear Ibrahim, we are not human beings. We are Angels
"Allah sent us with two missions, to come to you to give you some news and to go end destroy the people of Lut"
So his wife heard, when she heard she started laughing
His wife was standing, she heard the news, and she laughed a little bit
She laughed in the sense that finally, something is being done about the people of Lut
Allah says, "when she laughed they gave her news"
They told her, Allah says...
We gave her good news that you are expecting a child
Sarah at that moment was 90 years old
She starts saying "what", and she begins to touch her face
"im gonna give birth and I an old woman, my husband even older than me"
"I couldn't get children when I was younger, now 90 years old and my husband 120 years old, we gonna get children"
So she said this is amazing, absolutely amazing
The Angels tell them "we have another good news for you"
Not only will you fall pregnant and you will get Ishaaq but you will live long enough to see the son of Ishaaq, Yaq'oob
Then Ibrahim once his fear was gone, he was more worried about Lut
"We gave him good news when his fear was gone, he started debating about Lut and the people of Lut"
Like he is saying look, maybe they will still turn. Because remember up to that point he had not asked for anyone to be punished, he had not ever asked for anyone to be punished as such
Or for a nation to be destroyed, he continued making Du'a for them
And that was also one of his characteristics, he continued praying for them
So he was debating. He was saying "look but you're going to Lut, why don't you give them a bit of time"
"If you're going to destroy them, Lut is amongst them, don't you know that?"
So they said "O Ibrahim. Let's not talk about that. Just turn away from that discussion because it is the instruction of Allah that they will be destroyed. And that punishment will come and it will not be reversed, done."
So he was reassured that Lut will be saved
And he was reassured that the people who believed would be saved
And he had bidded farewell to these particular Angels and they left in their own way
Allah tells Ibrahim two things we will keep in your family. Prophethood and revelation in your family
The books that will come down in your family, all of them. And the Messengers in your family
so Allah tells us in the Qur'an the names of some of these children of Ibrahim whom he had chosen
Allah says we will guide all of them like we guided Noah
Ibrahim was from the family of Noah, and now Allah had mention two names Ishaaq and Ya'qoob
