First Sermon

  • Sincerity is a condition for the reward from Allah
  • Not seeking the praise from the people
  • Whatever good deed that one does one should have the sincere intention
  • Insincerity is a major sin
  • And they don't get reward
  • We want to be accepted by our Creator
  • So we should always watch our hearts
  • Remember that person is not going to the grave with you
  • Watch your heart for insincerity
  • His intention might change
  • He wanted to fight for the sake of Allah and he wanted the praise from the people
  • The Prophet(PBUH) said "he gets nothing"
  • Someone may spend hours doing dhikr
  • The more a person remembers Allah and fears death the easier it would be to be sincere
  • We are all slaves of Allah
  • We all want to go to Paradise safely
  • In the body there is an organ, if it is pure the entire body will be pure
  • If a person's heart is darkened, it would be very easy for him to sin
  • That black spot is going to grow
  • Once a person's heart is darkened, he would sin and feel no remorse
  • He might start eating haram
  • The heart is the leader of the organs
  • The other organs will follow
  • If a person repents and does good deeds it's as if he never sinned
  • Proper repentance
  • It's as if he never comitted that sin
  • If a person does good deeds his heart will be lightened
  • Don't let any sin go past you without repentance
  • He dared to committ a sin he might dare to committ a major sin
  • If it's haram, we avoid it, period
  • The knowledge is the light
  • What is valid and invalid
  • Anyone can perform those movements
  • With the knowledge the person protects himself
  • How do we know things? By learning
  • The knowledge protects you, you protect the money
  • They left the money behind
  • what benefit him? The good deeds
  • The wise person is the one who prepares for the Day of Judgement
  • He protects himself from the everlasting torture of hellfire
  • All of us will cross the bridge
  • Some of us will cross the bridge in lightning speed
  • The Day of Judgement is filled with horrors
  • Seek as much knowledge as you can and implement
  • Keep seeking the knowledge until you die
  • Don't let the devil tell you that
  • Keep seeklng the knowledge until you die

  • Second Sermon

  • Fasting in the month of Ramadan is great worship
  • Denying the obligation of fasting is denying the Religion
  • The person who is excused from fasting is like the elderly person
  • But they are obligated to make it up
  • If one is traveling
  • One has to leave the town he is in before Fajr
  • The integrals of fasting are two:
    1. The intention
    2. Leaving out the invalidators
  • The intention takes place in the heart, between Maghrib and Fajr
  • Even if that particle was small
  • The fast is not invalidated because it is not an open inlet
  • Forcing yourself to vomit is an invalidator
  • For one to become insane
  • For one to lose consciousness for the whole day
  • Fasting is invalidated by intentional intercourse
  • Blasphemy is an invalidator of fasting
  • The worships are not valid from the blasphemers
  • One must return immediately to Islam

  • Jummah Class

  • There are conditions for fasting
  • Allah made an obligation on His Prophet and his nation to fast on Ramadan
  • Allah revealed in the Qur'an
  • The benefits of fasting are plenty
  • Whether or not we know the wisom we still fast
  • Allah made the month of Ramadan the best month
  • The honorable Qur'an was revealed
  • It contains a night which is the best
  • The first of it is mercy, the middle of it is forgiveness, the last is salvation
  • People can observe you in any act of worship except fasting
  • He was seen the best during Ramadan, the Prophet (PBUH)
  • No one can gurantee that he will live to see another day
  • Everyone is going to die
  • You take your deeds with you
  • Any good deed is multiplied in this month
  • They feel some sort of fear because of their attachment to food
  • The person he abstains from eating and drinking from dawn until sunset
  • The human body needs a period of time to abstain from eating
  • This has just now been discovered
  • Either by seeing the Hilal
  • The day of the 29th after sunset, the Muslims they go out to spot the crescent
  • This is how the month is known
  • The Prophet(PBUH) said: "Do not fast early"
  • He didn't make an obligation more than that
  • The Prophet like to make it easy on his nation
  • The Prophet chose the easier route
  • For ever lunar month we need two witnesses, except for Ramadan, we just need one
  • The obligatory fasting is an obligation on the Muslim who is able to fast
  • The integrals of fasting are two
  • The intention, and to abstain from the invalidators
  • We don't just say "to avoid eating"
  • They intend between the sunset and the dawn
  • Making the intention needs to occur in this time frame
  • Having the intention does not mean visualizing a statement in the heart
  • That is not a condition
  • if the person wakes up before dawn to eat something, this is an intention
  • Waking up for Suhoor is an intention
  • Our Religion is easy
  • The one who did not learn destroys himself
  • He has to specify that it's for Ramadan
  • Even if it's not usually eaten
  • Inserting anything that has a size
  • The thing that people put inside their rectum, as a medicine, invalidates the fast
  • Even if he needed it
  • An asthma inhaler breaks the fast, but he is not sinful
  • It's permissible for him to use but he breaks his fast
  • Some people think that only eating and drinking breaks the fast
  • Putting a suppository in your rectum invalidates fast
  • Also if a person induces vomiting
  • If they have sexual intercourse but nothing comes out, the fast is still invalidated
  • The human being is prone to forget
  • Therefore we review
  • Insanity even for a moment, invalidates the fast
  • The biggest invalidator is apostasy
  • If he eats out of forgetfulness than his fast is still accepted
  • He's ordered to complete it
  • This is something that Allah willed
  • If a person sleeps for the whole day than the fast is still accepted
  • Once he becomes insane he is no longer accountable
  • If a person doubts the fast is still valid
  • He is encouraged not to exagerrate
  • Like if his mouth becomes soiled with blood
  • Rinsing the mouth does not invalidate the fast
  • If he exagerrates and water got in his mouth by accident, his fast is still valid
  • This is our Religion, easy
  • Just the smell of something does not invalidate the fast
  • I put the perfume in his hand so he can smell it, he asks if it has alcohol, then he put it in his mouth -- invalidates fast
