Because idk if I can trust you with all my drugs. You might use them all up and fuck up my money. Besides, you live too far.” He said.

Cindy smiled and flicked her hair. “You can trust me Vague!”

I promise I won’t use up all your drugs.”

You promise?” I asked her.

She nodded her head while smiling.

I held out my pinky. “Pinky promise?”

She gripped my pinky with her and shook it.

What if you’re a jake though?” I asked her.

She chuckled and shook her head from side to side. “I’m not a jake.” She said.

But I had another reason to come and visit you today.”

You mean, instead of seeing my cute face?” Vague gave a wide smile as if the paparazzi was in front of him and he was looking at the camera.

Cindy laughed. “No!”

What was the reason?” Vague asked.

Cindy picked up the small green basket that was on the floor next to her. She held it up and handed it to Vague.

I wanted to come give you this, it’s your basketball clothes.

Vague held the basket in his hands. He almost couldn’t believe what Cindy had done. He didn’t know what to say.

It was only a couple days ago that he had given her his dirty basketball uniforms, he didn’t think that she was going to do it. But here she was.

And I wanted to tell you something.” Cindy said.

I’m going to come to your game on Monday.”

Vague blinked. “You always come to my games.”

Ik... But I’m going to be coming to each of them now.” She said.

Vague continued to look at her and blinked again. “I don’t get it. Didn’t we just establish that you do in fact be coming to each of my games?”

She smiled. “Even the away ones.” She said.

How’s that going to be possible when you live all the way in Jersey?” He asked and gave her a confusing look.

It was true, Vague didn’t see Cindy nearly as much as he wanted. Cindy lived all the way in Somerdale, NJ. And Vague lived in Delaware County, PA. Though the traverse wasn’t that far on car, it certainly was not a walking distance.

It was about a hour car drive, usually it was Cindy’s mom who drops her off to see Vague. But sometimes she has to work and doesn’t always find time to take her.

I told my mom that I wanted to live closer to you, so she agreed for us to move out here.” Cindy said.

A wide smile spread across Vague’s face. “Really?” He said.

Yeah.” She said.

We’re moving to Sharon Hill Monday morning.”

Vague couldn’t believe his ears. He wrapped his arms around Cindy and gave her a big hug. She smiled and hugged back. After about half a minute he released her and looked into her eyes.

You make me happy.” He said.

Cindy smiled and flicked her hair with her hand. “You make me happy too baby.”

Vague then leaned over and pressed his lips against hers. She closed her eyes and kissed back. After about two minutes Vague drew his head back and held Cindy’s hand and led her into the house.
