Chapter 2

“I’M THE BADDEST ON THIS PLANET!” I jumped to the middle of the conversation I said as I took off my shirt and tied it around my head and snapped my fingers and swung my arms like an angry female. I was distinctively listening to the girls’ conversation, they were discussing about a  renowned African-American bi-sexual female rapper/singer by the name of Miss Liz and the flaws in her personality. She tended to be very blunt and outgoing, I knew this because I was very familiar with her and I listened to some of her music.

Every female on the table turned and looked at me as I had my shirt tied around my head, there was a short pause. For a second I thought all the girls was going to think that what I did was strange and weird and nobody would find it amusing, Then everybody started to burst out laughing! “HAHAHA YOU SO STUPID!” Said Lindsay in between laughter as she was wiping tears from her eyes, she was sitting across the table from where Christy was seated.

“Ain’t that how she be though?” I asked all the females seated on the table as I started to unwrap the shirt from my head. There were short moans with laughter and head nods as everybody on the table began to calm down. I starred over at Christy, she wasn’t laughing but she was smiling at me and had her index finger in her mouth as she starred back at me.

“Do it again!” Asked one of the girls sitting closer to me.

I glared at herand said "charge a bean a peek.” I replied to the girl. She was asking me to act like Miss Liz again and I simply replied to her that she had to pay me $100 to see it again.

“BYE BOY!” She scoffed at me then turned her head while laughing. She was not going to pay the required fee needed for me to do the impersonation again.

“BROKE BOY ALERT!"I yelled out in reply to her, Everybody busted out laughing again, this time even harder and livelier than the last time. People even came to the table I was seated at from the nearest table to see what all the commotion was about. This was my chance to capture the attention of the crowd and make everybody go wild.

“I SAID!” Everybody in the whole school already knew that I rapped after attending many talent shows in the past and scoring high, and they knew immediately after I said “I said” I was going to begin rapping.

Darrel immediately rushed to the table I was seated at after he heard me say “I said”.

“What you say bro?” Darrel’s presence was known. He was listening very instinctively with his upper body shifted close to my face as he prepared to hear me start rapping.

“Ya’ll not ready though.” I nervously said.

There were loud groans. Darrel shifted his body back, “Come on bro you gotta at least give us a lil something.”

“Mhmm. Is that what the people want?” “What do ya’ll want, just tell me what you want and ima give it to you!” I passionately said as I clasped my hands together on my legs. Everybody began to laugh again. Then they began chanting “RAP, RAP, RAP, RAP!”

“Say less!” I stretched out my right forearm and loudly said so everyone could hear, “I SAID!”

There was a pause, everybody grew quiet. Then without thinking I said.

“I keep a bad one with me just like Lizzy do. These rappers mean mugging like the principal.” There were loud cheers and laughter, a wide smile spread across Darrel’s face as he drew back.

“Piss dirty but I always pass my physical, I be diving in that kitty like a swimming pool!” I abruptly drew my hand back. Everybody grew wild with cheers and laughter and the whole table departed with astonishment to a nearby table. All except for Christy. She was just staring at me. With starry eyes and a faint smile.
