Patience

Allah

Patience is among the obligations of the heart. Strengthen yourself with patience and prayer and know that God supports the patient people. Allaah has made patience like a horse that never gets tired, an army that can never be defeated and a strong fortress that can never be breached. Patience and victory are twin brothers, for victory comes with patience, relief comes with distress and ease comes with hardship. Patience is of more help to the one who has it than men, as it helps without any need for equipment or numbers and its relationship to victory is like that of the head to the body.

Patience

TYPES OF PATIENCE

It is of three kinds

  1. Patience in performing what Allaah made obligatory
forcing oneself to perform the obligations like praying on time, fasting the month of Ramadan, attending the circles of knowledge to gain more Islamic knowledge, and other obligation. Even if one feels lazy to do them

  2. Patience in avoiding what Allaah made unlawful
Restraining oneself from committing the Sins. It takes a lot of effort to stop oneself from committing the unlawful like leaving out the prayer, stealing, drinking alcohol etc... It is in ones' nature to lean towards laziness and easy coming pleasures, even if they are unlawful, so we need patience to avoid them.

  3. Patience with hardships and calamities
Being patient with what bothers one, such as pain, hardship, poverty, sadness, or other afflictions that befall on the person in their life. Because this world is a place of calamity, tasks, and a workplace. While the Hereafter is a place for judgement and reward.
For this type of patience to take place one needs not to act or talk in a way that reflects one's impatience
It is obligatory upon the pubescent person to refrain from objecting to Allah and to be content with Allah's decree, and Will. Subjugating oneself to Allah is among the obligations of the heart. Objecting to Allah is a blasphemous act. Many people fall into Blasphemy because they do not subjugate themselves to Allah, rather they object to him and this is blasphemy. The Muslim should be patient and should make an effort to train oneself to be patient so they can get used to it. One should also rely on Allah for all ones' matters.
